A party night concluded our Safe Az unit with a commandos course on a local farm...navigating our way in the dark from the river back up to the house, trying to avoid being spotlighted along the way. This was a huge success and lots of fun as each group of girls came up with different strategies to achieve their objective while avoiding (or sometimes not avoiding!) electric fences, cows, ditches, spotlights, motorbikes and getting lost. Dark, muddy, wet, scratched, screaming, laughing, and triumphing, everyone managed to make it successfully back to the bonfire to warm up with some hot chocolate.
As you can see, we've been having a lot of fun this term! I can't believe we're onto our last unit for the term already...cafez. We've got some local experts coming in to help us with this one...it's going to be yummy!”
Here is a taste of our go-kart project! After 4 weeks of constructing and painting, we were very proud of the finished results...our 5 go-karts looked great. Tonight we finished it off with a big race and family night which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. The go-karts were put to the test, and most endured pretty well, though one suffered a broken wheel and one eventually snapped very spectacularly after a keen dad took a ride! The girls took this all in their stride and a fantastic night was had by all. We have had so much fun this last progamme some of the girls paraded the go-karts in our local Christmas parade. After the go-kart project we went caving, swimming and had a beach party.
