IFG has started back up with a roar this year. Amidst having a heap of fun, games and laughter we have started working on a hospitality unit. The girls are learning what it means to serve others wholeheartedly and unconditionally. The final goal is to put on a dessert evening for all of the girls' families to attend in which the girls serve and entertain them. To work towards this, each week we are trialling a different dessert to help decide which desserts they want to make on the night. Planning items for the dessert night, making their own recipe books and invitations for their families, and learning how to be a proper waitress are among some of the other exciting activities that the girls are engaging in as we work towards this special evening. But most importantly, IFG provides the opportunities for strong relationships to be built between the girls and also provides a safe place in which the girls know the will be accepted, listened to and valued as an important member while having a whole pile of fun :)
