Welcome back to IFG for term 2! We hope you have had a wonderful school holidays. Here is the Bible verse we will be memorising this term;
John 14:6 -
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
2012 was kicked off with a large green and pink cake and the first night of the Kartz badge. Girls decorated race signs (such as start and finish) and built their racing machines (the go-carts). On the final Kartz night was the race itself! It was a fun and enjoyable evening for all concerned.
The next badge was the Footz badge for the Explore and Adventure girls and the My Style badge for the Challenge girls. Explore and Adventure measured themselves in ‘feet’, completed an obstacle race, treasure hunt and played Twister using their feet to get from A to B. Meanwhile the Challenge girls used glitter fabric paint and fabric stickers to decorate T-shirts and pillowcases. Next they created and laminated collages about themselves.
The term wrapped up with two Easter nights. The Challenge girls made some very cool Easter eggs and the Explore and Adventure girls made some Easter booklets and another Easter craft telling the Easter story through the eyes of two donkeys.
Rolleston IFG is now thriving with a total of 48 girls and 10 leaders!
The Explore and Adventure girls have recently finished their Footz badge, which was a lot of fun! They washed each others feet, measured themselves in 'feet' and played games.
Challenge worked on the My Stylz badge - where they learnt about themselves and how each of them was unique and special in her own way.

The girls donned their helmets, and put on their running shoes for the Rolleston IFG Kartz race day!
One of the carts was the one they had built with the help of some of the dads.
